What happens after I send a recording?

Here's what you'll see after you tap to send:

1. Sending… while your recording uploads.
2. Listening… while your coach listens to what you said.
3. Your words appear on the right: this is what your coach heard.
4. Rafa is replying… (or your coach's name) while the reply is on its way.
5. Your coach's reply appears on the screen, and plays out loud while you have the app open.

If something you said could sound more natural, a Feedback card appears under your words with one correction and a Try again button.

Hear it again

• Tap Play or Replay under your coach's words to listen again. Your coach's voice can be replayed for about a day, and the words always stay on the screen.
• Tap Hear your recording under your own words to listen to yourself. It plays from your device.

What happens to the recording

Your coach turns your recording into words and replies. The words stay in your conversation. We delete your recordings within minutes of listening, unless you've turned on Kept recordings in Account > Settings and chosen to keep one. Only you can hear a kept recording, and you can delete it any time.
