How does Verbalta correct my English?
One correction at a time, in a Feedback card under what you said, with a Try again button so you can say it out loud.
Updated
Your coach reacts to what you said first, like in a real conversation. When something could sound more natural, you get one correction, not a list.
The Feedback card
The correction appears in a card labeled Feedback, under the words your coach heard. Depending on what it's about, it shows:
- Grammar or wording: what you said, the more natural way to say it, and a short reason.
- A new word: the word and what it means.
- Pronunciation: the word and how it sounds.
Explanations are in the language you chose for your coach, and the English stays in English. See How do I change the language?
Say it again
Tap Try again on the card. Verbalta starts recording right away, so you can say the sentence the new way. Your coach listens and tells you how it went.
Other buttons on the card
- Save this word: keeps a new word in your list. See How do saved words work?
- Not what I said: if your coach misheard you, tap it. Your coach sets that correction aside.
See past corrections
Every session keeps its corrections under Worth remembering. See Where can I see my past conversations and corrections?
