How do I practice speaking with Verbalta?
Tap the microphone, speak, and tap again to send. Your coach answers out loud, with every word on the screen.
Updated
Practicing is a conversation with your coach, out loud.
- Open Talk.
- Tap the microphone and speak in English. While you record, a timer shows next to the microphone.
- Tap the microphone again to send. On a computer, you can press Space to start and Space again to send.
- Your coach replies. You see their words on the screen and hear their voice.
- Keep going. Answer their question, ask your own, or tell them about your day.
Good to know
- Two minutes per recording. At two minutes, Verbalta sends what you have. Most answers are much shorter, and that's fine.
- Changed your mind? Tap the X next to the microphone (or press Esc) to throw the recording away before sending.
- Very short taps don't send. If you tap the microphone twice by accident, nothing is sent.
- One at a time. The microphone waits while your coach is listening and replying.
- Nothing to type. Verbalta is for speaking. Sometimes your coach offers buttons to tap, like choosing what to work on.
